Representatives from SEPTA and the King of Prussia Rail consultant team will present an analysis and rationale for the Recommended Locally Preferred Alternative (Recommended LPA) and explain the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) process. The Public Meetings will offer participants an opportunity for public comment on the Recommended LPA as well as the current Build Alternatives prior to inclusion in the Draft EIS Document.

Comments received during the public meetings will be used to help SEPTA identify specific concerns for a Recommended LPA. SEPTA will evaluate these concerns and include them in the Draft EIS which is expected to be released at the end of 2016. The meetings will follow an open house format and include a presentation.

In addition, Public Information Sessions will be held at key locations along the Norristown High Speed Rail Line (NHSL) corridor, as well as the King of Prussia Mall, and other points of interest. Visit the project website for more information on times and locations of the Public Information Sessions.

The project need stems from deficiencies in area transit services that result in long travel times, delays due to roadway congestion, and transfers between services. In addition, there are many destinations in King of Prussia that are underserved or currently not served by public transit.
