In anticipation of upcoming procurement opportunities associated with the King of Prussia (KOP) Rail project, SEPTA held an Industry Forum and Networking Session for contractors and consultants on Monday, June 27, 2022.

KOP Rail will extend the existing Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) into KOP, providing a one-seat ride from KOP to any station along the NHSL and a two-seat ride to Philadelphia. The light rail extension consists of two tracks that will run along a largely elevated structure and encompass five new stations. SEPTA envisions several large and technically diverse contracts to support the project and hosted the Forum to provide preliminary details about the project and create excitement about the upcoming procurements. Some of the upcoming contracting opportunities include (but are not limited to):

• Final Design
• Guideway Construction (3)
• Parking Garage Construction
• Systems Construction
• New Stations Construction
• 69th St. Transportation Center Improvements
